That question is so broad that it can't really be answered. But if you are wondering why you sit in church and you notice that there aren't many teenagers there then its probably because they don't believe in it and don't want to go. If they had true faith and conviction then there would be absolutely no excuse for them not to go.

I'm a teenager and I look forward to going to church. All the old people are like lots of extra grandparents, all the middle aged people are like extra aunts and uncles, and all the other kids and I are like siblings. I love my church because it's fun, loving, musical, and there's friends to see there, and I just love worshiping with other Christians. It's so joyful!

I believe one reason why many Christian teens don't attend church, is because their church is boring for anybody under the age of fifty. Lots of churches are full of only old people, and the music is only hymns, and maybe the church doesn't really have any kids their age. If so, they should just find an other church that they can enjoy.

It's usually quite a paradoxal thing; leaders in churches would love to get more teenaged kids to attend, yet they're not willing to make events more youth oriented, and would rather rely on tradition. Would you want to go somewhere where there's nothing that interests you? Don't think so.

In addition, teenagers - as well as most people in the Western world - have more access to knowledge of other religion, belief systems, spirituality, and with a growing jadeness in the world, less modivation to be involved and more support of being apathetic - and who's to say they shouldn't? But I'm getting ahead of myself.

In short, churches probably need to change their ways a little if they'd like to see more 13-19 age group attendance.

Teenagers don't go to church, because there's a lot of other things going on in there life. Take for example school most coaches have practices at 3:15 and don't let out till 5:30 that gives this 30 Min's to get dressed not even counting the Min's for them to get home.....video games and computers are addicting sometimes its hard to get them off most likely your best bet is there either playing a video game or fiddling on the computer.... Here's the best one of all. Drugs/alcohol, there's more death rates with kids drinking or doing drugs why go to Church when u can have a can of bud in ur hands with ur buddies or a pack of weed while smoking it in ur buddies basement this is why teenagers don't go to church... one more thing of why teenagers don't go to church.... most kids that go to church leave other kids out of the group its just like school, its all about popularity now its about how they dress... what there wearing is it in style... wonder what there thinking about.... wonder who they are.... what kind of life style do they have..... church is church kids are kids there both great in every way but i think both of them are growing apart more each day with the things i listed above sports friends video games popularity and drugs/alcohol.

I know some teenagers that go to church and some that don't. Most likely they are just trying to find their place in the world, and sort out what the believe.

I remember feeling very grown up when I was a teen. Being raised in a very Christian home, I felt that I didn't need to go any more.
But then as I grew older married and had children, I realized that
I needed the fellowship and and Divine guidance to meet all the
challenges that we all face every day Remember what the Bible says " As the twig bent so it will grow" They will return to the church.

Teenagers are more interested in having fun than thinking about the afterlife. When I was a teenager, I only went to church to meet girls, then I met Jesus!

today's churches are full of mostly seniors, that doesn't appeal to our young Christians. but some churches now have new music programs that are more rhythm sound.most parents nowadays are not church going folks either, so the children did not learn it from them .Sunday shopping brought in more working on the weekend, less time for church.

maybe because their parents dont go, and to some teens its not considered to be a hot fab like a side kick 3 lol but its real, some parents give their kids the option to want to go or not, some teens dont believe or know nothing that is going on with church and how much they can get out of spiritual growth.

Because we go out late on saturdays and like to sleep it off. That's pretty much it, really. I mean I have faith and I'm a Christian, but I'm not going to get 3 hours of sleep to listen to so old man preach at me for an hour. I'd be better off reading the Bible on my own time when I wake up.
