1. not asking someone to do something that you yourself are not willing to do, this helps your followers trust you, makes them think that you are not better they are.
2. display and properly use ethics in your working envirnoment
3. include the followers in decisions if possiable, to make them feel like they are not "left out"

Working alongside those you lead. You have to be willing to do what they do. This how you show, experience and ability. Many times I have heard people say; "He/She not know what they talking about, just sits in the office and not really know what going on".
