Certainly I could never respect someone who let a falling down drunk get behind the wheel of a car.
But we also must be careful with our judgments, sometimes we need more info than we have to be able to make a good judgment. for example stealing is wrong, but if the guilty person stole an apple for a hungry child who hasn't eaten in a week is completely different from someone who stole something just for some kicks. The one who just wanted kicks should go to jail the one who wanted to feed a kid, needs help more than justice for the first offense.

I agree. Righteous indignation can go a long way to helping a situation that is out of hand. But it can also create some out of hand situations when used at the wrong time or for the wrong cause.

Yes, such as Bible translators taking God's name out of the Bible and replacing it with titles, such as THE LORD,GOD...what a mess in misunderstanding that has caused! As the Bible, itself, says there are many gods and many lords. How confusing it has been for the vast majority of people who have not come to know God's name. It has allowed them to believe that Jesus is God, and not God's Son, as he actually is. Taking God's personal name out of the Bible is one of the most God dishonoring things that has ever been done! That is Righteous indignation, and rightly so.

I believe so. Even Jesus demonstrated righteous indignation when he chased the money changers from the temple.

Anger by itself does nothing. If you're asking can anger be based on righteousness, yes. Has righteousness ever benefited anybody?

How would you feel if you found out that a practicing homosexual was on the worship team? Anger, yes, but sin not!

Yes. When people get angry enough about something, then they do what they have to, to change things.
