Mine are too fat to climb the tree, but they love to sleep under it.

I love watching cats in Chrismas trees!

I'm disappointed this year because my kitten isn't interested in the Christmas tree. I wanted to get a picture of her in it.

We put up the tree and wired it to wall studs (so she couldn't knock it over) and she's looked at it, but she's more interested in my Ficus tree than the Christmas Tree.

Our older cats like to lay under the tree and play with the plastic ornaments and the bows on the gifts.

But the kitten...

Nope.

Yes kittens love Christmas. The boxes to climb in! The ribbons to shred! The ornaments to bat! The wrapping paper to tear! And their own personal climbing tree! Heaven!

I put a tree up last year and it was pure and utter chaos. It was cute the first few times that my cat climbed up the tree, broke some ornaments, preceded to knock the tree over, got tangled in the lights and bit me when I was trying to get her out. No tree this year.

I agree with you. A Christmas tree is the most wonderful present a kitten could have. It satisfies their need to climb and the fun they have batting at interesting, shiny things that move.

I am so happy that my kitties finally outgrew Christmas tree wrecking this year. Last year I had to throw the tree out because they ruined it. It is cute but I'm glad it's over. Now if they'd just outgrow curtain climbing.... Merry Christmas from me and my kitties!
This is a favorite photo of one of my kitties during his Christmas tree wrecking phase:http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2449809560098625606IvWmad

I have lots of trees in my garden and my cat loves to climb them.He climbed one today and lots of birds flew out of the top!. The funniest thing i have seen him do was when he came nose to nose with a squirrel..He wasnt quite sure what to do so he just looked at it.Too funny.

I don't care, its cute. We take pics of them every year trying to climb to the top. I have started to decorate my tree in stages, a little every day. It's a pain but as long as they remain interested and not climbing I think its o.k. What's a little more work before the holidays?

I do care because if the christmas tree falls or if they fall. But then they say that cats always land on the 4 paws. But maybe sometimes you should care so that they wont break your valubales.

Kittens and christmas trees are great fun. It's like a super activity centre for them. Enjoy, and let your kitten enjoy.
