I was dizzy all day and I was having times where I was not even aware of what was going on most of the day. When I was in my 5th hour I just stared at the wall the whole class. Then I went to lunch and said hi to my friends. I stood there for a min and told them I felt bad then according to them, I stumbled and then went flat on the cround and started having supposed convulsion my muscles were shaking and my friends say I looked like a fish. I have no memory of this by the way. The only part I remember is a little after talking to a police officer who I didnt give right answers to simple answers too. When I came through I was in an ambulance and hooked up to oxygen and a IV. I had lost my bladder and I smelled. The doctors couldnt find reason that I had a seizure except for my sinus infection. My sister is getting on my nerves saying I faked it. Do you think this is a seizure? If not then what is it?

Be careful, there's some bad advice up there.

1. No, a sinus infection will not cause a seizure in and of itself. A high fever may cause a seizure however, but we're talking about temperatures above 102 F, so you would have probably noticed it.

2. Foaming at the mouth is NOT always seen with seizures.

3. The loss of blowel and bladder control is characteristic of seizure activity. So is the peroid of memory loss and confusion afterwards (that's called a post-ictal state).

The description of your event does in fact sound like a seizure. An EEG would be useful, but not diagnostic- some epileptics have totally normal EEGs when they're not actually having a seizure. Based on your description of the episode, it would probably be a good idea for you to start taking anti-seizure medications.

I would put him on the med for now and then you can get a second opinion. The blood tests done should help solve the issue of any side effects. My mom has seizures and unfortunately medicine is the only thing that helps her and many others with epilepsy. Fortunately, your dog is being prescribed one cheap and readily available drug and not half a dozen. Not to say that there are not alternative treatments that work or at least help in some cases. But, the majority of the time, you are going to need medication to control seizures. It sounds like you may be in doubt he is having seizures. If that's the case, have another conversation with the vet about what they look like to be sure you aren't needlessly medicating.

Recently I had what felt like a seizure. For about a year now I just go blind and lose my balance and cannot walk without stumbling and feeling like im going to fall over. When i go blind I feel dizzy but i can hear others just find, i can also speak, i also can sense them 5 seconds before it happens (so i get near something to hold onto just in case) this time i fell down and landed on my butt, i lost all control of my legs and my neck, i was able to hold my body up with my back which i had control of, along with my arms so i wouldn't fall over because my legs and head were moving uncontrollably. when i got blind it only lasted for 3-10 seconds, this seizure also lasted only 10 seconds, I got the seizure after leaving my pc after i spent an hour on it, I usually go blind after sitting or not moving; Im a 15 year old male.

That certainly sounds like a seizure to me. The loss of bladder control and confusion afterward are typical.

You need to be evaluated by a neurologist, and probably have an EEG done. You may need to be on medication, and should not drive (even if you're old enough).

Many seizures do not have a "cause", and if they do, it's not usually a good thing (brain tumor, aneurysm, bleeding in the head, trauma to the head).

Tell your sister I said to shut her mouth and show a little support.

More then likely a seizure you need to see a neurologist. They will do a EEG which can give you more answers. Being sick can bring on seizures but usually there is underlying disorder. I would get a second opinion for sure make sure they do a MRI too.

It sounds like one, and it's a known fact that if you have a bad sinus infection if can cause seizures. I hope that they gave you medication to clear the infection up.

It could be a lot of things. Have your parents take you to your doctor for a good physical. A bad sinus infection can make you dizzy as can a high temperaure. Please take care of yourself.
