In family practice, they use a stethoscope to listen to the heart, lungs, carotids, and different bodily noises.
An otoscope/opthalamoscope is used to look in the ears/eyes- also used to look in the nose and the back of the throat.
A sphingomanometer is the technical name for the blood pressure reader.
They also use a reflex hammer to check your, well, reflexes.
I think the most important tool is listening and asking good questions.

Different kinds of doctors use different tools on a regular basis. Three tools that many use are:

I would say a blood pressure meter.Everytime I go in it's checking the blood pressure.
