Washing your hair in general should not be done everyday. Showering everyday can cause your scalp and skin to dry out. Never heard of it causing static. Put conditioner on your hair if it needs it, like if your ends are split/splitting and if your hair feels dryed out. Rinse conditioner with colder water then what you were washing it with is suppose to help it not frizz. Never heard of it causing static. The only thing I know of that causes static is the weather and the temperature outside. Like winter, thats when some people's hair statics... like mine. I hear hair spray works for hair that staticie.

If you only wash it with shampoo and not conditioner then yes. Only because it drys your hair out so you're left with alot of little frizzies. But try to only wash your hair every other day. Washing it twice a day is bad for it.

It's the electrons running through your body. When there is friction, the electrons are attracted to the friction which makes you hair stand up and be static. You can tame this by spraying hair spray onto your brush, then going through part of your hair. Then apply more hairspray to the brush, and go through it until your whole head is not static anymore. :)

i think that washing your hair does cause static because most shampoos take moisture out of your hair. if you use conditioner it probably wont or be as static.

No, it's not using conditioner that causes your hair to have static.

I think it does.
My hair never looks great the day I wash it; it's all frizzy.
I have to condition it really well, and the day after my hair looks good.
It is so annoying, especial when I have to go somewhere.
