No, really a clove scent is pervasive. If you can't take apart the pepper grinder and wash all of it's parts, it may as well be a clove grinder from now on.

May be difficult, cloves have a very pungent odor. i would try to soak in very hot water and baking soda. it usually gets rid of odors.

Try a paste of baking soda and water to wipe down the grinder blades and cap. Then, clean with soap and water.
If not, wipe it down with neat white vinegar, and let it dry, before cleaning with soap and water.
