I believe this is avery good question, If done properly round pizza box is a very unique idea....Its definitely thinking out of the box!!

It is easier to fold a square box than a box that is round(yes they make boxes that are roundish in shape for pizza and they suck trying to put them together

It's harder to open a circle box, and square boxes stack nicely in a bag. Plus, if a circle box were to open as a sqaure box does, the hinge would compromise the entire design! Besides, pizzia places are beginning to make square pizzas and bread sticks.

Because that's how the packaging is made...the same as putting hamburgers in a square box.

easier to take the pizza out probably. More space to put your hands and get the pizza out.

they do that to give the visual effect of the pizza looking alot bigger.
