Once you understand that you have sinned against God and that you are exceedingly sinful in his eyes, and you repent, which means you turn from you sins and live according to the spirit, and the Word of God. i wouldnt say its a free pass, its more like smelting iron. you are still judged, but you get all your impurities taken away.
