take plenty of vit. c or drink plenty of it in the form of oj. drink fluids like gatorade or powerade to replenish your electrolytes then rest your body go to bed early. buy some dayquil and nyquil to ease your suffering they really work. i hate liquid medicine i take the gelcaps or if u want something from your md ask for z-pak works quick

You can try taking extra vitamin C...It helps to "dry" up your mucus and purge easier from your system. Also, you may want to try Airborne...I really do swear by it...You are supposed to take it at the first sign of a cold, but if you are in the middle of one, it can help cut the time down that you have your cold. Hope this helps.

Taking Zinc has been proven by a few different medical school studies to shorten the legnth of a cold. You should take it as a lozenge and suck on it so it is absorbed by the membranes in your mouth.

Rest, Vitamin C. Hot baths, and chicken soup. And hopefully you have someone to pamper you and make you feel cute and special to lift your spirit. As there is no medical CURE for common cold / flu, except for bed rest and getting some vitamins...
