Yes it is true that the truth wil set you free. As what Christ said in the Gospel. In the second part of this we would find that Jesus is the only way, the only truth and the only life. Whoever believes in him is free. But we have to look on the other sideof freedom . nowadays freedom is interpreted in many different aspects. We can say that freedom can be attained only when we know our own limitations and the limitation of others. Now, going back to Christ, he distinctly said in the Last Supper, I do not call you servants because a servent does not know what his master is doing. Instead I call you friends becasue everything that my Father has revealed to me, I have revealed them to you. Our relationship with Christ is not more on a servent-master relationship but is an intimate relationship that goes beyond these circumstances. It is a relationship of a friend, and only in our deep and intimate realtionship with him can we live a life truly free, beautiful and great.

Because it is a good thing to be his servant. He gives us all the freedom in the world but you have to try to not sin. If you live like he says to live he will give you heaven on earth. And after you die he will let you in heaven where all your wildest dreams will come true. Living a sinful life without Jesus can't do any of this for you. He is a good master and not a bad one so it's not a bad thing. We are more free being his servant than not and having no peace.

You are not a slave to Jesus because you have free-will. The philosophy your point of view stands on is flawed.
Good Luck!!!

for many people of faith, there is freedom in humility and service to God.
for such people, myself included, when one remembers and submits to God, one is freed from the confines of worry, selfishness, and confusion. one is free to let such bonds go and trust in God.
one can be "free" to do whatever one wants, or one can be "free" of worldly worries in faith. both can be understood as freedom, and both can be interpreted as bondage. it depends upon how you view the covenant of faith between an individual and God.

I'm not. He is all those things to me. If Jesus is bothersome to you, let Him go. Jesus is all about us. He serves us.
