First of all, it's never too late. People have gone back to school well into their 60's and 70's and completed GED's or even college degrees. However, if the child does not go to school, the options for a rewarding career are substantially narrowed. This is America and it is possible for someone without a formal education to develop their own business and make it successful, but if the child is looking to work for an employer then they will be limited to entry-level, low-paying jobs. My advice is to go to school.

If you never schooled your child then you are a parent failure. I think there are laws about this, every child has a right to receive free education until they are 16, if you don't give that to your child then you might get in trouble with the law.

That could never happen. A child gets a SS number when he is born, and the authorities would come looking for him if he didn't register for school.
Education is mandatory in the US.

Your child will be destined to be a garbageman for the rest of his/her life and the courts will sentence you to be repeatedly beaten about your head with hammers until you are as dumb as your child.
