Those charged with oversight of a congregation are described in the Bible as being males. The 12 apostles of Jesus Christ were all males, and those later appointed to be overseers and ministerial servants in Christian congregations were males. (Matt. 10:1-4; 1 Tim. 3:2, 12) Women are counseled to “learn in silence with full submissiveness” at congregation meetings, in that they do not raise questions challenging the men in the congregation. The women are ‘not to speak’ at such meetings if what they might say would demonstrate lack of subjection. (1 Tim. 2:11, 12; 1 Cor. 14:33, 34) Thus, although women make valuable contributions to the activity of the congregation, there is no provision for them to preside, or to take the lead by instructing the congregation, when qualified men are present.
But may women be preachers, proclaimers, ministers of the good news, outside the congregation meetings? At Pentecost of 33 C.E. holy spirit was poured out on both men and women. In explanation, the apostle Peter quoted Joel 2:28, 29, saying: “‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I shall pour out some of my spirit upon every sort of flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy and your young men will see visions and your old men will dream dreams; and even upon my men slaves and upon my women slaves I will pour out some of my spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.’” (Acts 2:17, 18) In like manner today, women properly share in the Christian ministry, preaching from house to house and conducting home Bible studies.—See also Psalm 68:11; Philippians 4:2, 3. This is not demeaning to women but inline with Gods arrangement

1 Corinthians 14:34 1 Timothy 2:11,12 1 Corinthians 11:15
1 Corinthians 14:34---Let your women keep silence in the churches; for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1 Timothy 2:11,12-----Let the women learn in silence with all subjection.
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence,
These verse are referring to WORSHIP SERVICES WOMEN CAN NOT BE PREACHERS.
WOMEN are to be silent during the preaching of God's word. In no way can a woman LEAD worship services.
We participate silently. Except where we are all commanded to sing praises to God.
1 Corinthians 11:14 and 15 and 16----- Doth not even nature itself teach you, that , if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for HER HAIR IS GIVEN HER FOR A COVERING.
But if any man seem to be contentious, we have NO Such Custom, neither do the Churches of God.
A woman's head is covered with HAIR. Her Hair is the covering.
NOT COMMANDED to cover with anything else.
I hope this clears this subject matter up for a lot of Q&A readers.

Wife are told to submit to their husband in their marriage and family. But outside marriage its equal standing for both. Its wrong to treat a woman as a inferior, the same goes for the wife.
The wife although she submits to the husband, she should be treated with respect and honor. Don't treat submission as a license to degrade/insult the wife. A husband should treat her as he would treat himself, satisfy her needs as it was his. Listen to her advise as one listen to a king. But the decision making should be the husbands.
There are more specific informations in the christians bookstores etc.. what I pointed out are just some general ideas.
P.S. Sometime woman mentioned in the new testaments means specifically wife. It was written so in greek.

That isn't exactly what the bible says, but if you are comfortable with it go ahead and shout it out.
1 Corinthians 14 says women are not to speak, but that term clearly in that chapter referred to pulpit speaking.
1 Cor 14:29 "Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others pass judgment. 30 But if a revelation is made to another who is seated, the first one must keep silent....34 The women are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak,"
Clearly refers to prophetic speaking.
They were to cover their heads while praying or prophesying, not while in church. 1 Corinthians 11:5 But every woman who has her head uncovered while praying or prophesying disgraces her head,

God gives great value to women as recorded in Scripture...and places great value in their dignity and honor:
Deborah was a judge raised up by God in a time of great distress for Israel.
Mary was chosen to bear God's own Son! What an honor.
Esther was used by God to save the entire nation of Israel from destruction !.
Read the the entire Scriptures....instead of quoting one foolish reference to support your ignorance and bias against the bible.
Intelligent people understand what the Scripture really says. Fools try to make it support thier own foolish agenda.

Sure I have a problem with it, so what? What about Abraham having several wives and concubines, and they were all blessed by the Lord, not to mention the slaves and all the other stuff they did.
That was religion then, what about religion now? If you have an argument with religion you need to address religion as it exists in the here and now.

I say this to you my friend. If when a man and a woman come together in marriage and become one being spiritually then no man has the right to silence his wife at all, for this act would be to silence his own heart. How could we believe then that this statement you are making is a literal translation? It is merely allegory for the understanding of the duel aspects of the nature of all man. In church or communion with god. The male/yang/aware/conscious aspect of the mind must be alert and in control. lesten ,learn, then dwell on this or meditate. this is the meaning of the man should teach his wife at home or give her the answers to her questions about god. Its the transfer bewteen the collected information from the conscious jind to the unconscious mind or from tyhe ear to the memory . the miond to the heart. teh woman is the subconcious or spirit mind of the individual and is the yin/subconscious/submissive/empowering/force of creation within each of us. it is to remain silent or undercontrol in communion so as noit to be sleeping or daydreaming. she listens and recieves her answers latwr when the male aspect reviews the lessons learned and commits it to his /her heart.
head being covered..this to is analogy for a covered head is to supress or conceal. do not let your mind sleep either or let your man listen to the words of god but not give them unto his wife..let him not keep wisdom from her for in this he shall only keep himself from attainment. Man is no greater then woman, nor is woman greater than men, we are a piece of one another , spiritually, physically, mentally. therefore never silence your wife for she is your partner..only silence your mind and do not over calculate or over analyze.

No woman were to teach in the church. This ensured that the men would string themselves up, all by themselves.
