The Ethiopians used to have a ruler called Haille Sellase,the Ark of the covenant is supposed to be hidden there,Coptic christians live there ,there is war and famine there,nomads live there and they still practice female genital mutilation there.Waris Dire and Iman both beautiful models come from there.I don't feel anything when i hear the word Ethiopia except sadness that there is war and famine .

First, I think of a very elegant man named Haile Selassie. Then I think of the Queen of Sheba, and King Solomon, and their son Melek (spelling?), whose family ruled Ethiopia-whence came the King's title of ''Lion of Judah''.

Then, lastly I think of the Falashas-the Jews of Ethiopia, and how all of them must be taken to Israel, which we have been trying to do.

I know little about the present government of Ethiopia, I do know there are Ethiopian soldiers fighting on the border of Sudan.

I think of a country that has beautiful landscapes and a wonderful culture so torrtured by bad things...and always hunger...i could be wrong...but I usually think-How could a country be soo beautiful YET baad?

I think it's perhaps the poorest country in the world. I feel that as humans we have not done our duty to help the poor who have the same right on the wealth on this planet called earth. Shame on us.
