I was protected very well by an Air force guy, who happens to be my father (Ex-warrant officer).
Then I was supported by an Army man, when I was stranded in Karachi Pakistan during 1972-73 he would send me money from his meager monthly allowance, who happens to be my brother (Ex-Colonel).
But I came to know about Marines efficiency and now tend to believe that these marines can protect you during heavy battle.
By the way, your question may have a flaw as you have used “between” when options were more than two. This made confusing permutation and combination of the ‘forces’ by many respondents.

Not really a fair question. The Navy has traditionally provided off- shore gun and missile suport to ground troops whenever possible and feasible; the Air Force uses surgical precision in providing air support to ground troops; the Army and Marines generally are the ground troops, and are better trained for land combat. Marines are the best in the world at amphibious assualt, and there is not a bigger, better force than the Army at jumping out of perfectly good aircraft into combat. However, if I were in a firefight, with one person to get me out, I would want him to be a U.S. Navy SEAL.

I would pick a soldier and a airman, that way I would be protected from land and air.=]=]
Other than that, it would be all the above.
They are all already protecting us anyway.

Depends on what type of heavy battle. I am fond of "airmen" being in the AF and husband ADAF.
But I would have to say it wouldnt matter! We have them all over the world right now protecting us! So I wouldnt mind!! Male or female?? I have high respects for them all!!
