Effexor makes me feel hyper, and I dont like the side affects, is there any other medication that is better as I am going to a clinic today and want to tell the doctor want I want

I have been on many. Zoloft worked for a while, Wellbutrin and Effexor did nothing for me, and Lexapro gave me worse anxiety, insomnia, and made me suicidal.

The one that really worked for me is Buspar (Buspirone). It's definitely one you need to take right before you go to bed though, as it does make you drowsy for the first few weeks until your body adjusts to it.

But the best advice I can give you is talk with your doctor and play around until you find what works for you. What one person may consider their miracle drug may be intolerable for another.

Hope I could be of some help.

Ask about Ativan (lorazepam). It's very good for temporary situations - you're starting to feel anxious about something and you take one or two, and it resolves the anxiety.

Effexor is pretty good about tamping down anxiety altogether, but if you have occasional anxiety and don't want to be on meds all the time, Ativan is a good alternative. It can be addicting, though, so you need to be careful.
