Well - a better question would be - how could you understand for it seems you have choosen to close your heart to the truth that is revealed. I am not a Christian nor try to play one - but your remarks are that of ignorance and not of love that most Christians search for as they read their Bible for the words of God. To be a person of faith does not mean that one must adhere to the dogma - but adhere to the truth!!!

Good Luck!!!

Not necessarily.
On the other hand, I'm a namby pamby atheist and I can go to church and read the Bible even if it is not quite true. Why, cause it feels good.

The bible is a history book. It is a collection of stories. Most readers do ignore parts of the bible. King James went so far as to set his scribes down and change parts to suit his needs. It is God's word if you want it to be. It is up to you.

The Bible is a collection of Stories, and accounts of the happenings many many years ago BC and AD. No one should ignore anything written in the bible, but they do. Its important for you to be true to what you believe, and to not judge others for what they do not. Between you and me, I believe in the bible and its words. I love the stories, I love GOD and I love you. Take care.... : )

Not recognizing the Scripture as God's Word is an excuse for an immoral lifestle....those who live according to the flesh are HOPING it isn't God's Word.

Is the bible really Gods word to begin with? By saying the Bible is Gods word is also idolatry not only to the bible, but to whoever wrote all the chapters and verses in it.

To christians, the bible is like a salad bar, they take what they like and leave the three-bean salad behind.
Typical cowardice.

Just because someone ignores or belittles God's word doesn't mean it isn't God's word or that it's not truth!
