Ishmael is the father of the Arabs. That doesn't mean Muslims are decendent of him. That only points towards arabs.

To begin with----------only a small percentage of Muslims are Arabs. People seem to think only Arabs are Muslims.

I am taking a class on this subject right now. Abraham's two sons, Ishmael and Issac, are his heirs. Issac is the child of Sarah, and his descendants are the Jews. Ismael is the son of Hagar, and his descendants are the Arabs.

There is a Mid-East legend that says tho the brothers have lived in strife with each other, the day will come when they must rise up to stand together against the whole world, and therefore, they will join hands again. I like to believe this will happen---------at least the part where they will join hands again.

I'm not Muslim, but that is pretty clearly taught in the Bible. Abraham had a son Ishmael, before Isaac was born, of Sarah's slave Hagar. Ishmael had twelve sons and these became the Arab nations. The Bible says that God's promises would be throuh Isaac, but I believe that the Muslims claim the promises are through Ishmael according to their version of the Bible and the Koran.
