Cause religion is more like legend than mythology, since poeople in the here and now believe it.
For exaple, Jesus actually lived, and they made a legend out of his life, and the missionary journies of Paul actually existed; whereas in mythology they included deities that dwelt in ancient temples. Yes, religion includes mythology, and strictly speaking it is folklore, but it also includes certain historical facts.

to commence with, i does not classify faith AND spirituality mutually. Then, perhaps i ought to positioned religions with mythology, on the grounds that mythology is the religion of the historic peoples. yet this is controversial. What i'm confident is that putting faith and spirituality mutually appears like they're a similar, and that those those who've no faith are literally not entitled to a non secular existence.

Oh man its hard to answer that without being flamed!

Q: When does a myth become a religion?
A: When its believed and taken as fact.

So in many senses they could classify it mythology and folklore. I suspect though that Bible-botherers would damn Yahoo to eternal damnation though, and its just not worth it.

Nice question.

Yahoo bias. They are basically Xian oriented. This is very apparent when you take an Atheist bashing Q, and switch the words so that it is Xian bashing. The Q that bashes the Atheist will stay, the one bashing the Xians will be deleted! It is not fair, or rational, just plain bias and bigotry!
Although I am neither, I notice this all the time. I seem to side with the Atheist. We pagans see the symbolic meaning to our tales and do not take them literally as other faiths do. But then our tales aren't full of violence, incest and an angry God either!
Blessed Be..... ; )

I don't know why Yahoo doesn't have a nice little section for atheists and those who feel threatened by religion. Why do you hang out in this section if you are not religious or spiritual?
