have a massive fear of talking on the phone. It's ok if people ring me, but i can't ring them.
I'm 22, but i last called someone whan i was 16.!
I can call parents, but that is it. WHAT DO I DO?

I experience horrid symptoms, when faced with the telephone :
Sweating
Nausea
pounding heart
And start to cry.

I'm also very shy. Haven't got any friends. Had lots in Junior school,(lost contact with them), and non in senior school.

I am very lonely, and hate being like this. But find it really hard, socializing, and meeting new people.

please don't tease me. Hate being like this.
What can i doabout it. ? Would love some advice please.

I'm not the best answer, but I'm glad you're asking for help. It sounds like you get anxious, and nervous and frusterated of thinking of making a phone call because you don't know how to start a conversation or are too conscious of yourself. Don't be.
People will see you the way you want them to see you. Don't be afraid to say what you think about things. Be aware that everyone has something different to say about the same thing, however, no one is right or wrong. Everyone is just different, and it's okay to not be like "everyone else". We all go through different frustrations, but we need to learn how to deal with them differently. Think positive. Focus on the positive things that you have, and what you are. Don't think of the negative things. It won't help. Be strong, and take courage to face your fears. Prove to yourself that you can do what you want to do, but it will take some time... it won't be easy.

I have similar feelings but not quite so extreme, tough I hate it when people call me just as much.

I was advised that in my case it's because I communicate a lot through actions and body language, rather than simply through speech. So talking on the phone means I dont feel like I can actually really say anything. I find it helps to use a hands-free phone and talk with your hands whilst doing it, or go old-school and visit them face to face.

I'm always up for meeting new people so mail me on xtheunforgivenx@hotmail.com, that goes for all of you.

in the net you're very vocal, dosen't seem abit like what you described, are you sure you're what you describe or you just want some response form ppl? if you're sincere, & normal, you can start by taking up a part time job in the service line where you comes into contact with many ppl, which give you alot of opportunity to meet ppl,
