Muslims don't eat pork because in the Qur'an it specifically said that Pork is an unclean animal and it can cause serious damages to the consumer. In addition, pigs also have some sort of dirty worms inside ther bodies..and that worms wil trnasfer to the body of the erson who eat the pig. Thats just disgusting. Islam is the most religion that always embrace the cleanliness..and being clean in Islam is important..eating healthy and clean in body, spirit, and mind. In fact, this stuff about the dangerous of porks are actually True. Islam is not just a religion that enfore the law because it said so in the Qur'an but there are several background scientific informations behind it.

I believe it has something to do with the prophet Mohamed being allergic to pork. People of the Jewish faith do not eat pork because Jewish biblical law classifies pigs as unclean animals along with several other animals and fowl. There could also be something of that effect with the Muslims I am not certain about that

G-d told the Jews not to eat pork, as the animal was unclean. It is an animal that will eat and live in it's own filth, and it is a scavenger for food. Also, unless properly cooled and well cooked, illness can come from it.
Muslims follow this, likewise. Many Christians will also not eat pork.

before refrigerators pork went off so quick you could die from food poisoning. Also seeing pigs eat `rubbish' made them -back then- think they're full of garbage, so no pork

Pigs are dirty animals. Also, lots of people get sick from eating pork if its not cooked right.

because it is not Kosher. For the same reasons Jews do not eat pork. It's for health reasons and to also separate Jews and Muslims from Non-Jews and Muslims.

Musilims believe that pork, like seafood, is dirty. this mostly stems from the fact that pork comes from pigs (DUH!) and that pigs lay around in dirt all day. Did this help? : )

there's a whole history about it involving Mohammad maybe some of the muslims can clarify. Basically they believe it's 'haram' meat. 'haram' means foul as it, if you eat it you'll be condemned to hell.
