I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
A sight with some really cool diet calculators and interesting calorie counting calculators is here. Check it out.

Yes you can.. it just takes longer and isn't as noticeable so people don't have the instant gratification, like they do when they go to the extremes, to keep them motivated.
The main thing is to eat healthy. Now I'm not saying go vegan diet or anything but try to stay away from burgers, instead try baked or roasted chicken. And eating 4 or 5 little (key word) meals throughout the day instead of 2 or 3 larger ones. This keeps your metabolism running. Think of it as a processing plant.. it is far easier to keep up with smaller deliveries than a few large ones.
Next is exercise, and again i'm not advocating becoming one of Tony Little's workout regime, but just a little bit is better than nothing. Walking a mile is better than nothing. If you don't have access to a park or neighborhood where you can walk, jog, or ride a bike around, then maybe a home exercise piece or gym membership is for you. Again it isn't necessary to spend hours per day exercising but a good 15-30 min, three or more times a week isn't that bad and will really help. And when doing the exercise have something to keep you occupied such as books on tape, songs, tv shows, etc...
Finally the most important thing is to not expect results immediately and to stick with it. Having a partner to keep you motivated will help, and try to pick one who isn't easily distracted from the goals you are. Most people begin diet and exercise don't see the results they want immediately, or just slip back to their old routine, and stop it all together. Persistence will get you to where you want with these simple steps, just stick with it.
Hope this helps you.

Follow some sort of Guide to Healthy Eating. There are so many servings of each food group you should consume per day. This can be REALLY hard to do at times, so this is what I try and do for every meal. I try and incorporate each food group into all of my meals. For example, for breakfast I may had 12-grain bread, toasted, with peanut butter, a piece of fruit and some milk, or a yogurt and some orange/apple juice. You have your grains, protein, dairy, and fruits in one meal and it's a great energy starter for the day. Try and establish an exercise regime as well. It doesn't have to be crazy high-impact exercise. As long as you become more active than you are right now, you will lose weight. Try going for a 40 minute walk, or a jog...pilates also works at burning calories and toning the body. There are lots of things you can do to suit your lifestyle! Just do a bit of research and you should be fine...and stay committed!!!

Then, whilst they eat ideal, they are going to earnings all of it back and greater. attempt workout for an hour conventional or 5 days each week. cut back your caloric intake to approximately 1500 energy an afternoon, yet do no longer pass under 1200. Weight administration oatmeal is incredibly good and filling for breakfast. eat lean meats like chicken, entire grain bread, brown rice instead of white, and a super type of end result and greens. Bear in mind, you can maintain what you eat and avoid gaining more pounds by spreading them out to smaller portions received in different times of the day. Rather than 3 heavy meals a day, have 6 lighter meals in a day.
Losing weight is easier if you stay active and fit. Working out, sports, and making a habit of walking help. But all the working out will do nothing if you don't control your intake as well.

Try eating 5-6 small meals a day and exercising 5-6 times a week combining cardio and strength training. This will boost your metabolism and you will lose weight slow and steady. You shouldn't be losing more than 2 lbs. per week. This way, you will also keep the weight off. Losing too much weight too fast is unhealthy and you'll eventually put all the weight back on, if not more.

Easiest way would be to simply find alternatives to your favorite foods that are lower in calories....like making mashed potatoes with chicken broth instead of butter, or buying lot fat frozen yogurt instead of ice cream, etc. Exhibit portion control with these items, and try to sneak in exercise whenever you can (climb the stairs instead of taking the elevator, walking to a friend's house).
The small things will add up to a tiny bit of weight loss over a period of time. Won't be fast, but will be effective and permanent.

Eat well balanced small meals, exercise 3-4 times a week. You may want to get some help from a dietitian or your family doctor.

Just take it gradually
Increase exercise slowly. By doing too much too fast can actually cause more damage
Cut down on food portions and eat slower to give your stomach time to digest food
