I met a man on the internet a few weeks ago and he has become infactuated with me, he doesn't have my home phone number or home address but I'm scared he will hack into my computer and track me down. I have told him my mobile number and he bombards me with texts and phone calls. I'm really scared. Help!

Change your phone number and if he goes on Yahoo to talk to you. Hit the ignore button. Never give out personal info online again. If you meet someone you like, meet him in a public place until you get to know him better. Use caution and always be aware of things that you don't feel right about. I love yahoo. They protect you from this. All you have to do is hit the ignore button. Most people aren't that smart to hack a computer. If it continues after you have deleted him, then call your local police.

Hi there.
Get yourself some good firewall protection ie McAfee or Norton if you don't have any already.
This perverted SOAB probaby has your internet 'IP' address - a unique number which identified a specific computer. But if you have a good firewall, you are OK. Be very careful of attachments or e-mails with links - he can download programmes onto your computer.
Ignore him - temporarily get another mobile number, and also go to the police.

That' something you should never do is give out personal information. Especially to people on the net you don't know. Some of the people on the net will say anything to get your attention. And when they get you where they want you, there's no turning back. So be very careful about doing things like that. I would hate for anything to happen to you and I'm sure your parents would to. And by the way, do the even know? Please tell someone close to you for more advice. But in the meantime, I really hope I said something to make you think!

1) change your phone number and only telll family and friends
2) did u meet him in person? If so don't meet him again just come up with an excuse like your sick
3) he can only hack into your computer by having your e-mail or going to your actual house
4) he can not hack into your computer and and track you down unless if he does hack into your computer and goes on your accout settings and you have entered your address
and a hint: you know he has a computer too right? well he can look at your questions and answers on yahoo.

The rest are right you need to change your number and then report him to the police. But don't for get to tell your family about you changing your number. Then if he does hack on to your computer move and go some where else.

Get that number changed!
What all information did you give him? You must remember these things. Do NOT respond to any emails, or download any attachments that you do not know about, even and especially from friends and family. most of the time they are infected, and send you those without knowing they did it.
unfortunately most of those types of people are very smart.
Have you told him to leave you alone? if you have not, then ignore and block. Delete him from your contact list, then go into "messenger" on top of messenger, then click privacy tab. add his contact information into the ignore section, and he will never be able to pop a window open in messenger again.
In the future be careful. you can not always tell who will do what, but you can get an idea.

He cant track you down through your computer,so dont worry about that.
Change you mobile number, keep all the contacts you want to keep.
Crikey, you dont half hear a lot of scarey stories from making friends on the internet.

Change your number quick. About him hacking into your system to find out your address, this is unlikely. Hacking is a very complex art, which im sure this doofus is unfamiliar with.
Be more careful who you talk to on the internet, you just dont know who it could be.
Just a thought.

First off report him to your Internet provider/email carrier have him blocked or the website you communiate in and report him as abusive. Second have you mobile number changed or if you don't want your number changed then call up your mobile carrier and again report this person as abusive and have them blocked.
