Well, I've been in three long terms,
The first way you know it's over is there is usually some yelling or some kind of verbal discussion that it has ended. Then you know after it's been a while and there is still no communication between you and him. You just have to move on, it's much harder than it sounds. When I broke up with my most recent, I ran into her in downtown Houston with her boyfriend ( now husband that she cheated on me with) and my buddy said the best words i've ever heard..... Be the better person, I know it's hard but be the better person... Basicly saying let it go and don't give in .... It only makes things worse.

A relationship is like a garden. You must tend it, weed it, and water it. If you care about the relationship and you do not want it to be over, you will do everything in your power to save it. That may have to include a little trickery and deception. If you don't care to work on the relationship, I am sorry to tell you that it is over.

well you really need to give more info,however no one perone should other than you or your partner.I was married for 14yrs and it was over the last 4yrs.I knew it but just kept dragging it on.If its over you should know and move on.Dont drag it out just get it over with if its really over.
