Matthew 23:11 says "But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant." Does that mean are we are all not equal in Gods eyes?

This scripture, especially the phrase 'greatest among you' talks about how our greatness among people we deal with on earth shall be assessed in God's eyes. In God's eyes those who serve others are the greatest in His sight. In other words God does not want His leaders in His church to rule over people but to serve them. Even Jesus did not come to rule over people but to serve them,

Actually, it's saying we are equal. The illusion is that some are elite and others servile. The message being conveyed (Mattews above) is that in knowing your identity you discover it's not all about you, but rather what you can do to create better for all.
