my passport expires 17th of july 2007?

I'm flying on the 15 of dec to the usa

You need a valid passport for the minimum of 6 month so if you are going on December 15 there seems to be no problem at all.

You can depart from your country of origin until 17January 2007. After that you will not be allowed because passport must be valid at least 6 months on your departure date.
