go somewhere thats different. We like pubs, horse racing and comfort. Although these are not essential to our weekend. Well, the comfort bit is. Any ideas anyone?

why not go to ireland. you could get a plane which would only take 20 minutes or go by ferry if you want to bring the car. for maximum comfort and horse racing go to county meath. it's about an half hour drive if the traffics good form dublin airport. it isn't as congested as dublin and there may be races on at the curragh(there usually is at that time of year but couldn't give you exact dates).

you could go to the poconos.
it's in PA and i'm not sure if they have horse racing, but i believe they have horseback riding and rustic type accomodations. i think there are lots of other acivities, too, though!

oh, didn't realize you weren't in the US....scratch the poconos, then!
