i only used hair gel and hair spray before but i am going to try mousse. does mousse make your head flakey(white stuff) like gel and hairspray? oh and also i do my hair big wavy curls and i want to buy hair mousse that is not heavy on my hair and also not stiff. when i go buy it, does mousse also have numbers like 1 would be weakest and 10 would be strongest? thank you.

Mousse generally does not make flakes. That is if you get decent mousse. I have tried many many different kinds. My hair is long curly/wavy. I have always gone back to the same one. It never gets stiff, it doesn't weigh my hair down, and it looks great! Finesse mousse for curly hair is amazing!!! As for numbers rating the mousses. I have never seen that on any I've bought.

Mousse or gel or hairspray should never give you flakes, if it does you are either using way too much, using the wrong product so you have to use way too much, or just using the cheap junk. The stuff you talking about is called product build up and it can occur from not getting everthing out when you shampoo your hair too. Depending on the brand that you buy will depend on how they discribe the strenght some use numbers, others have dots on the bottle that are filled in, some just use the name like strong mouse and extra strong mouse. Depending on how you make your hair into the "big wavy curls" would depend on how I would answer what to use to do it with. A typically good mouse that is not heavy or stiff would be Biologe's....this maybe more expensive then what you are using now. But there is a huge differnce too, you will use far less, it will not build up on your hair, and it also has some nutrients for your hair in it. Good luck...if you have any more questions message me

mousse is very drying to the hair because t's filled with alcohol just like gel. yes it may cause flakes. if your hair is naturally curly you should use a curl defning creme nstead. Bouncy Creme by Iso is the absolute best.just put it in damp hair and go. If you create the curls yourself(hot iron) you may find you need no stylng product other than a thermal protectant like redken's Smooth Down Heat Glide.

you need to attempt scrunching it. what i opt to do is take a bath(usualy earlier mattress) and positioned some moouse or gel into it and positioned it in 2 buns(it seems kinda stupid) and interior the morning take it out and it truly is going to be curly/wavey take some extra moouse or gel and scrunch it in. that's in common words one thanks to srunch hair, it quite works extra perfect for stright harder to get curl/wavy hair.
