Radar works just as good in the dark, so does laser. I don't know about your state or country, but in Connecticut USA, just by fighting the ticked and going to court, the fine and charges get lowered, it's an automatic plea bargin.

Yes they are able to run RADAR at night. They do NOT have to show you the clocked speed. Your best bet.. See if you can go to a Drivers Safety course and get the ticket dropped. Otherwise you will have to pay the ticket.

The Police will be able to produce documentation to show that the RADAR gun has been properly maintained and was calibrated.
When was the last time that you had your cars speedometer calibrated ??

Trust me it is better for you to pay the citation and SLOW down !!!

The Police do NOT have to show you the RADAR. There has been a Supreme Court Ruling on this. I have forgotten the case as it has been a few years, but I know/remember that for a fact!!

Yes they can use radar anytime. But they have to be able to show that it was your car that was clocked. If you were in a pack of vehicles, make the officer prove it was you. I respectfully disagree with JohnRingo, the officer has to show you your clocked speed....at least here in CA.

In my state we do not lock the speed in the RADAR and do not have to show the RADAR or LIDAR to the violator. Why would I let the violator into my car full of guns?
