no one has ever seen the wind, only the effects of the wind, but everyone agrees the wind exists. GOD is like the wind. all one has to do is look at the glories and wonders in the heavens and earth to see GOD'S Handiwork. yet, like the wind GOD, HIMSELF remains invisible to the 5 senses of human beings while on this plane of existence. never will believe this description will convince a non -believer but for me it is sufficient.

Well if it was obvious you could make the instant leap to all non-believers being intellectually deficient or morally culpable. Now, do you still want to hold that position?
If it appears obvious to you, then there remains more than one possibility. The above conclusion, or that *you* have overlooked or are assuming something which does not necessarily hold.
Why is God obvious when so many events appear random and contingent, from sub-atomic particles to the inclusion of certain passages in the bible?
If God is there and good, why evil and suffering?
If god is there and his character and wishes are so clear, why are religions so divided, even within themselves?
Yes, there are answers to those questions which are consistent with the existence of God, but it is far from obvious that those must be the answers, unless you have so pre-decided it.

Um...excuse me? The existence of a personal God is obvious? How? Maybe if you gave reasons, you'd at least be a little respected...
The cosmological argument just = we don't know yet,
The teleological argument = natural selection (stuff that cant survive well, DOESNT survive...) + why would it be a personal God anyway? Could be a group of deomns/Satan
The Bible = utter crap, written by people who also denied heliocentric astronomy and the idea of the world being a sphere
The moral argument = not everyone has the same morals, so doesn't equate to a God
Argument from religious experience = mental states, people have similar experiences on Ketamine, LSD and Acid.
etc etc etc

I don't understand how the existence is obvious. In my experience the people who having a strong will, money, influence and many such qualities are becoming successfull in achieving their aim. They achieve their not by only believing in God but doing their work in a systematic way. At the same time the people who are strong believers of God after all their efforts getting failures in their life. Those who closely observe this cannot understand why God (if existing) is not blessing his believers to acheive their goal easily. This may be the reason why people don't believe in God.

It OBVIOUSLY is not obvious. Look at how many religions there are. And none of them can agree. Did you know that people believe just as strongly as you about different gods? You're confusing obviousness with your perception. You perceive God to exist how you think He does. Say you almost get hit by a car. You thank God for watching over you, while the atheists thank the driver for his good reflexes, and he or she is more careful next time.
In conclusion, if it were obvious, there would be one church, one religion, and no atheists/agnostics.

I don't believe in God because I believe in science, to believe in a God in this day and age I think is silly.
I am an atheist but follow a Raelian religion, we believe that life on Earth was created not by a God but scientists from another world not too far away from here. This explains in a scientific way how life came to be on this Earth for we too don't believe in Evolution.
Has anyone heard of the Raelian Movement?

Why do christians believe in trinity, when its naivety is so obvious? Somethings are obvious for you and not for others? Get rid of personal inclinations and prejudices. Reason about things you believe in, rather then just stating that they are obvious.
Contrary to common belief, Islam is the only religion which promotes thinking, reasoning, and logic.

Is it obvious that God would have created a planet which is covered in thousands of square miles of barren desert and wasteland or that he would have created milllions of species which would go extinct as most species on this planet have. God might exist but never say that his existence is obvious-disbelief would obviously be more logical.

Gods are not obvious. I can only imagine you came to this conclusion because you were taught that your God is the obvious God.
No, sorry but if you look outside of superstitious beliefs it becomes quite apparent that the entire creation story is false.

One of my favorite sayings is
"Show me one angel and I'll believe."
I think a better question would be "Why do so many people believe in God when there is no evidence for His existence?"
