Even if you show from the Bible to some people that is wrong what they're doing, they're still doing it. And worse they say they are christians and that they love God. Isn't that hipocricy?

It is the free will that God has given us so we can decide qwhat we want. However I believe if we teach our children from a oung age what is rioght and wrong ewe can at least some of societybe b etter. I have tried hard to raise my 7 sons to be gentlemen and in this day and age AI wonder if I had made a mistaske as there does not seem to be very many woman or girls out there that appreciate it. It has made it hard on some of my sons to find good women to have a relationship with. But in the end they are slowly finding the good moral ones. We also have it on every tv show , at least the most of them and that makes it look alrght. I have to monitor what my kids watch so close to try and protect the values and morales I am trying ti instill in them . I still have 2 boys and 2 girls under 18 and 5 boys over 18 with 2 of them married with families. It is reven sadder when they claim to be christians I know that God kknows evey heart and soul and knows who is the real thing but it makes it hard on new converts.Have a Merry Christmas and A blessed new year.

A lot of it is ignorance and misunderstanding. The part I like and quote is to treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself(or do unto others as you would have done unto you). If you follows this you will not gon far wrong unless you are a naturally twisted person of course. All it takes is a little thought. People are selfish by nature and need to be taught to think of others before their actions. Will this hurt someone? Will it hurt their feelings? What will be the outcome if I do this etc? People speak and act in a thoughtless way and that is bad for everyone. Whatever your personal beliefs, as human being we all strive for one thing-hapiness-but dont create your own hapiness at a cost to everyone else-eventually you pay the price for this. These people you speak of probably do love God but do not understand Gods word. You do not however need to be a Christian to have high morals and live a good life serving others and helping society. As far as hypocricy is concerned-that only applies if the preson understands the teachings, proffesses to live by them and then purposely doesn't. Most people do not understand them and take the teachings completely out of context. Education is the answer.

Christians can sin. It depends on how bad it becomes. When a so-called Christian sins very badly I sometimes doubt whether that person is truly saved. If out of the emotions of the moment someone believes Jesus in one's head and not in one's heart then this one is not truly a Christian and therefore has not God's power to live righteously and continues to sin badly.
Sometimes even people who are truly born again have no power over their sins because because they think they have to use their own efforts to obey the law to keep themselves from sinning rather than depending on the abundance of God's grace and His gift of righteousness to have victory over their sin (Rom 5:17). They do not know that sin has no dominion over them because they are not under the law but under grace (Rom 6:14). They are not properly taught to live out the revelation of righteousness by faith (2Cor 5:21). This where Hosea 4:6 applies, God's people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge. Some Christians have no power over their sins because they are not baptized in the Holy Sprit and walking in that power (Acts 1:8). So it may not be hypocrisy but not being true Christians and being true Christians they have not been taught how to enjoy their spiritual inheritance or lack the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

I agree! Many of them are hypocrites, but it's because they don't understand their scriptures and they preceive them through the teachings of Martin luther. These are martin luther's teachings..

"Be a sinner, and let your sins be strong, but let your trust in Christ be stronger, and rejoice in Christ who is the victor over sin, death, and the world. We will commit sins while we are here, for this life is not a place where justice resides... No sin can separate us from Him, even if we were to kill or commit adultery thousands of times each day." ('Let Your Sins Be Strong, from 'The Wittenberg Project;' 'The Wartburg Segment', translated by Erika Flores, from Dr. Martin Luther's Saemmtliche Schriften, Letter No. 99, 1 Aug. 1521.)

"Those pious souls who do good to gain the Kingdom of Heaven not only will never succeed, but they must even be reckoned among the impious; and it is more important to guard them against good works than against sin." (Wittenberg, VI, 160, quoted by O'Hare, in 'The Facts About Luther, TAN Books, 1987, p. 122.)

Good stuff, eh? This guy had no idea how to harmonize paradoxes, free will and divine providence. He encourages people to live ignorantly and bashes them that live righteous. They call him righteous. what a joke.

Why has no one argued with this question?! Immorality is no more spread now than it was 100yrs ago, or 1000yrs ago! We HEAR more about it through the internet and global culture, newspapers not being censored etc but that doesn't mean its any more widespread than it used to be...

Some people just want to follow the example of pedophile priests protected by their Bishops or to live the fancy life of televangelists who spend their congregation's money on male prostitutes , fancy cars etc....

It's immature rebellion! People "think" they have to go to hell because they
are bad. So they get mad, and indulge in recklessness. The old, "If I
got to go to hell, I'm going for a reason!"
But it's the defiance and rejection of their spiritual heritage that gets them
there.
Our Creator doesn't make anyone go to hell.
But He doesn't make anyone go to Heaven either!

That is why Jesus came down here, we would not make it by law. God came here so we can be saved, sins needed to be punished so Jesus took away our sins. We just need to accept His gift, and let God know about it. : )

A lot of people just don't seem to care anymore. They are very phony I find. They talk about how we should help one another and they are so mean they would not give you a meal if you were starving.
