When you fasting in Ramadhan, you can't eat and drink. This make your stomach rest for a while after working for a year. You too can't talk bad about other peoples... There's a day of Ramadhan where your good deed's will be multiply in that day...Angels and all living things including the trees will pray for who that wake up at night to pray to Him. It's the day when Prophet Muhammad meet the God..

Fasting if done properly and not sleeping all day and eating and playing all night, is a great leveller. It means that rich and poor alike are suffering during the day.
It makes you more thoughtful.Well after the first few days when all you can think about is your grumbling stomach... But I personally believe that going without a drink all day in 40C+ heat and then driving cars etc is madness and not really what was intended when the religion came down!
By lunch time the brain is so starved of liquid that it is hard to think clearly.
It is a great accomplishment to continue for the entire month, especially as it has to be accompanied by prayer, soft words and introspection.
Like most areas of our lives, what is attempted and what is achieved in Ramadan is not always the same!
And if you are going to ask me if I fast... Well I am not a Muslim and I like to keep my wits about me so I do forgo food, but in the privacy of my house I drink. Do give up the dreaded Pepsi during daylight though and for me that is worse than not eating!!!

I have a friend that fasts for Ramadan, and at the end of the month there is a big celebration with lots of food, friends, and fun, and kids get money as an incentive for fasting. Its like their Chrismas.

None, they fast all day, they stuff themselves like pigs at night.
