Body mass index (BMI) or Quetelet Index is a statistical measure of the weight of a person scaled according to height.
BMI is defined as the individual's body mass divided by the square of the height, and is almost always expressed in the unit kg / m2, which is therefore often left out. The BMI value can be calculated with the following formulae.
SI units Imperial units
When calculating BMI, using SI units is preferred.

Body mass index, or BMI, is a new term to most people. However, it is the measurement of choice for many physicians and researchers studying obesity. BMI uses a mathematical formula that takes into account both a person's height and weight. BMI equals a person's weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared. (BMI=kg/m2).

a BMI is a straightforward calculation that gives an index number. scientists have worked out statistically what the healthy range is. the calculation looks like this
BMI= BODY WEIGHT (KG)/ HEIGHT X HEIGHT(M2)
for example
BMI= 100 (KG)/ 1.80 X 1.80 (OR 1.80 SQUARED) = 30.9

BMI= Body Mass Index.
Based on your height, and age it will show how much fat you have on your body. Sometimes it even shows you fat/muscle ratio on your body as well.
I would either go online and they have several BMI calculators
Or go to your doctor.
