I am looking to prepare and cook fresh vegetables for my 9 month old son so he can eat more home cooked food, how long can I freeze the vegetables I would cook for and what sort of vegetables don't freeze well when cooked?

I believe that you can freeze some vegetables for up to 3 months. I do know really soft veg such as beansprouts and also garlic does not freeze well. The garlic will taste bitter. It would be better to add that just before serving. I am not too sure about freezing tomatoes either. Sorry I cannot be of more help.

I would cook various veg i.e brocolli, carrots... mash them down but not to mushy as your son is 9 months and when cooled spoon them into an ice cube tray and then cover with cling film and put in the freezer, they should keep for about a week and its so easy you can just pop out as many cubes as you need.
