I heard that when a plasma tv quits working, just throw it away and go buy another one.Well that would be ok,if it lasted atleast 10 yrs.

All plasmas can be fixed. The problem is that most repair costs are going to be close to (or higher than) what it would cost to replace the item. With newer technology coming out (higher resolution, lighter weight, lowered prices, computer connectivity, more inputs) its easier to replace than repair.

As long as you take care of the plasma, it should last 10 years anyway.

depends what plasma you have... but yes most of the time they cn't really be fixed

if you burn out the lights then go buy a new one...

if you break the screen the go buy a new one...

so you basicaly always have to buy a new one.

i agree with you though they should last longer and be fixable

If it can, it will probably be cost prohibitive.
