What artistic curent is the most important ?

I mean they are all important, I know ! But what is your most important artistic curent ? Ex: Baroc, Reinassance, High Reinassance etc

Personally I believe Renaissance (REBIRTH!) art was the most important historical period - the artists no longer painted what they were told was "correct" according to the Church (their biggest customers).
By painting true realism, they taught other painters (and viewers as well) how to really SEE. Their unique (at that time) use of light, perspective and human emotion was ground-breaking for all the art to follow.
