Christians? How come 20,000 Americans are Converting to Islam?

Each year? And what do you think it is that attracts so many Americans to the Religion? *This question in no way reflects my personal beliefs on either religion. I just want to know what you think.

Could it possibly be that they are afraid that Islam is taking over the world and so if you can`t beat them join them?

It's a free country and people have the right to be foolish by investing themselves in a false prophet. Thankfully, many more Americans than a paltry 20,000 convert to Christianity each year.

Some of the conversions are due to marriage, I would say most are jailhouse conversions. There are a lot of people who feel let down by Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc... and so are "swapping" faiths to see if they can find what they need or want somewhere else.

Even if that number were correct, it's a tiny amount when compared to the hundreds of thousands of Islamics converting to Catholosism (sp) and Christianity each year. Do your own research and don't believe everything you read. Make sure your information is from a non-biased source. Cheers.

First of wlla who came uyp with this statistic??? Ok, following your pattern : - How come 25.0000 convert to Christianity yearly in algeria, how come 30.0000 in Morocco? How come all africa is converting towards christinaity ( source jezirah news) . But tell me many people are becoming more & more godless does that make it a strong logical question that would lead to a strong conclusion that God does not exist since many people are atheists???? So you are proving nothing here. In Middle east people (specially women) convert to islam because they were raped by moslems so the only way for them to survive with a lost virginity is to convert & marry moslems, or because they were kidnapped ( source dream II TV) as for men they convert after being promised an appartement, a car & a job or a divorce...some were forced to.....! Many are also converting to Pastafarianism. The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. More than 3 millions each years.

Religions, other than Christianity, don't demand anything from their converts. Christianity demands, upon confessing one's fallen state and aknowledging God as the King of the Universe, that we must get INVOLVED with people in order for them to taste the sweetness of forgiveness from God and their ultimate home at the end of this earthly veil of tears, which is Heaven!

regarding false prophets
yes the bible did say that there will be false propehts but it gave signs on how to spot those false prophets, why do you think signs were given?? because just as there will be false prophets there will be a true one, see the sings below taken from Mathew 7

15"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. and another place in the bible where it did mention that another prophet is to come, John 14

But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you. 18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."

number 2: reagarding the larger number of people reverting to christianty, islam appeard more than 600 years after chritianity,
so the number of christians are already larger than muslims, so if we said chistians increase by only 2% yearly, and muslims increase by 10% still christians will be increasing more in number, but not in percentange, and sonner or later muslims will outnumber

They are just being adventurous about religions. Some even worship Satan. Some even pride themselves to be called Anti-Christ. You can very safely bet, one day there will be some Anti-Mohammed. Anything is possible with somebody who have lost their moral conscience.

We just don't hear about them because they are in hiding.

Because it's a trend, and because it's a religion which has a lot of adherents who hate America -- which makes it attractive for some people.
