i have just been asked out by a girl from school. we are friends but not best pals. her asking me out has come from out of the blue,although we are friends we do live in seperate worlds. i love science and rock. she likes french, choirs and arty stuff. i really don't won't to hurt her, or fall out with her and her friends since i do get on well with them. she is the first person to ask me out! i think maybe i have lived in my comfort zone to much. basically i don't know what to do.

Ditto rwhz !!! You should be flattered and happy that she likes you enough and is brave enough to risk being rejected. Tell her how happy you are that she asked you and that you will be happy to spend time with her.
REMEMBER, even if you aren't made for each other, she will tell her friends how well you treated her, or VICE-VERSA.
