I read somewhere that animals love classical music. It soothes them. I would leave it turned down low, remember; they have 500X better hearing than we do!

Yes, it's a very good idea. No rap or acid rock please. Some soothing classical or soft jazz.
Remember, your puppy still has to go potty. Try to get home sometimes during the day or you will have a crate mess to clean up.
There are some great articles on crate training on the web. Just google.

Sure they love noise. Plus it is a good idea to leave a radio on to keep possible burglers thinking you are home.

if he likes the radio. i leave the tv on for the cat because the motion is equally as entertaining as the noise. just ask him what he would prefer and he will tell you...if you listen.

Perfect. Make sure you turn on some music he likes. But also keep it on the right volume level, or you'll come home and he'll be deaf.
Happy Holidays! :-]

sure, "music soothes the savage beast" He will listen to it (he has no choice not too) and do the doggy head tilt thing(so cute) . it'll keep him preoccupied. AND make you feel better for caging him up.
