No, bread goes stale the fastest at temperatures just above freezing. If you need to keep bread for several days, you're better off wrapping it well and freezing it.

i store the bread in the fridge after the 2nd day. We also buy Lebanese Pitta bread and since i buy it online i get more than 1 bag at a time so i keep the one that i'm using in the fridge and i store the rest in the freezer and when i wanna use it i just pop it in the microwave for 10 seconds and it's good to go.

I keep it in the freezer and it keeps as long as ya like and just defrost or toast it when i want it, cos then if i dont have it for a while it doesnt go mouldy

no it is not nessesary but if u keep it in the fridge and then forget to keep it inside again then it will get spoilt cause it will get fungus due to the moist
