It is not our place to judge these people. Christ told us to "judge not lest ye be judged." We will all be judged by what is in our hearts on Judgement Day.

What is Your Opinion On Televangelists? Some worth listening to at present: Some not.
Are Some Genuine? Probably.

I don't presume to know what the Lord would say to them, but I'd tell them to naff off and take their phoney miracles and their demands for poor people's money with them.

I seem to remember Jesus telling a parable that contrasted the extravagant praying of the noisy man proclaiming his virtues to all and sundry with the quiet prayer of the person in the back simply asking 'lord, be merciful to me, a sinner.'

There is not a single televangelist who has anything but personal profit and self aggrandisement in mind. Not one.

Personally, I feel they take advantage of those who are less fortunate and bleed them dry both financially and emotionally. Here is my summation of what I think of some of the more well-known ones:

1. Benny Hinn---The "Jerry Springer" of TV Evangelism. His "healing" tactics are ummm, rather interesting to watch and yet very disturbing at the same time. Very sad so many are duped by him. I will say he's very slick, business savvy and he's not hurting to badly given the opulence of his lifestyle.

2. Peter Popoff--aka--Sideshow Pete. He spends countless hours hawking his "Miracle Water" to the masses and for a small "fee" he will continue to guide you in prayer. Another fast-talking swindler

3. Jan Crouch---aka--Little Bo Peep. Ahhh, my fave, Jan. Where should I start? The big ol'e pink Miss Texas hair bouffant wigs? Her degree in the Tammy Faye Baker school of Cosmetology? The Barbie style clothes? Those batting tarantula eyelashes weeping for grannies to send their grocery money? Now I will say she has done well for her ministry, however for me it tends to get lost in the mansions, money and fine cars she drives, while many of her congregation go hungry to support her cause.

The only one who I give any respect for and admire is Rev. Billy Graham. I haven't heard anything bad about his ministry and he portrays himself to be a very humble man.

You will never know the heart of a Christian. Only God knows. But of TBN, especially, I know that there are some Christians who don't trot out the near heresy that the majority of the "preachers" that come out at any given time of the day, or week.

Are some genuine? Depends. Genuine to what? Making lotsa money...all of them. Concerned about the public?...not one of them. None of them have a great track record.

They are known to support actively both male and female prostitution by using the service of hustlers. Since they like the expensive and highly qualified ones, they need a lot of money. They also like nice cars, big houses etc... Well dont we all ?

Keep sending them your money, they need it !
