I'm just looking for tools in living a good life. Nothing too strict. I'm leaning toward Buddhism or Scientology. Something that I can be involved in, but not take up all my extra time.
Nothing Christian!!!! And how do i get involved? web sites? phone numbers? local branches. I live in Niantic, Connecticut

what i do meditate, chant a mantra, while walking, for you driving,--be mindfull, of spiritual concepts in every day life.when you hear a bit of [truth] write it down, think about it, disect it, see who said it and were ther state of mind was when they said it.be kind to others, go to some temples/ashrams and see what they are.
learn to [experence -energy] but dont worship the energy--some say the energy made me do it--this is false you have a brain, use your logic to see ..the truths and dont get lost in [emotionalism].
take some spiritual development classes--to develop your [esp], most arias have spiritualists/spiritualist churches, psy-chicks, learn how they do it, talk to a lot of them , wach them give some one a reading , and see if you can guess what they will tell the person.this helps you tune into your own [esp]
some use [visualisation],some use [imagination], some [have a gut feelings], some just[know--it is right].
go into the woods and hug a tree, try to feel its energy, sit under the tree with your head on the trunk, and try to project your mind into the inner part of the tree, and see how it --conects itself to the life force.
find out who your spirit guides are, and your angel buddys are and try to comunicate with them
take a walk and get to the corner of the street, ask you self[should i turn right] or should i turn left] ot go strait forward. you will get a feeling, or a thought ...go right, then go right and keep walking till you get to a new aria, and repeat the prosses, go left, go right, go forward....and see ---were life leades you..
use you common sence , dont walk out into trafic, and if the felling sais [STOP] stand there for a wile--and some one may come up to you and , start a conversation with you . or you may see , a [interesting event] or meet a friend.
concept --being at the right place at the right time...wich you can controle.
could go on and on, meditate , love your self, be kind to others, and see only one life force, -powering us all......

May I suggest Satanism... I know what you're thinking, but seriously have you ever looked into it? All it has nothing to do with the Christian Satan or conjuring up demons or anything like that. It's all about you.

Now "destroy him" don't take that literatly, more like get him away. We don't abuse anyone, and we don't abuse animals. Actually quite a few of us are vegetarians or vegans. You don't have to affiliate to become a Satanist, some would have you believe otherwise but it simply isn't true. It's a great philosophy to live by, I feel much more satisfied with myself. I would suggest buying the book, Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought. From this, you can decide to buy further books or not. It will also provide you with numerous answers and tools which will help anyone who reads it. It is very logical.

I could recommend several tools but the first thing I would advise you to do is to look up the words advise and advice and note the difference. The reason being is that the tools that I would advise the use of requires an understanding of English as a prerequisite.

I am Christian and let me just say even though you do not want to become Christian congratulation and I am so happy for you and that you want to accept guidance in your life. However to be totally at peace and any religion will require some type of spiritual sacrifice and should take up some type of time. Church and believe and living in the way that God has created you in his image requires that. Again I just want to say congrats for accepting that there is a God out there and if you talk to him he will listen.

How about checking out beliefnet or religious tolerance websites and see what the beliefs of other faiths are all about? That way, you can possibly find something that rings true for you.

I live in the vultures nest of Scientology. People here have "S" symbols on the back of their car as opposed to the Jesus fish. I can tell you. Dont get sucked into them. Ive seen lives ruined by them. They just want your money.

The only one who can answer that question is you. No one else can tell you what religion would suit you, you have to look into it serouisly. Plus if you dont want something to difficult are you really choosing religion for the right reasons?

You are already involved, you just don't know it yet...be willing to be led. Offer that willingness. Everything you need is already in place.

Hmmm...i dunno. Buddhism wont be too hard to get involve, u can always join a buddist society. But no mater what, do things according to your interest i would say. And even Yahoo!Answers can be a 'tool' for living a good life....
