WHAT!!!

Well it is aggressive due to the reason that beliefs are the filter by which a organism as a human views or observes all of reality. Literally their reality is viewed through the eyes of their respective beliefs and thoughts, their interpretation depends on it and it keeps then going in a life that seems pointless. So since they give all of their essence to what they belief and it becomes their mindset by which all things are measured against, it in someways becomes apart of their identity. To denies ones beliefs is to deny their egotism which is defined by what they think they know. It's like crushing their foundation and leaving them desolate.

Do you realize that Christianity and Islam's theology and ideology are so corrupted and fails to compare to it's true reality before it was taken advantage of? It's even sadder that new scriptures were found in 1947 and 1945, that basically prove that modern day Christianity is not what it once was, for the Dead Sea scrolls along with many scriptures in the Nag Hammadi proves this, but people for the most part still believe what they will. They could find Hebrew version of the Gospels which would show how completely different it was and there would still be a mass amount of people who would not accept it, because since their past is associated with what they have believed and it defines them it would be like death. Beliefs can be very hard to debate over for many, and some just really have that desire to open people's eyes from their negation of reason.

Come the rapture, can I have your car ? This is the category (Religion and Spirituality), where even a nun or priest can get into the action and insults and backup for the Lord ! This is where generally calm, easy-going people, can let off steam, while at the same time, doing it in the name of God !

Spirituality is a very personal thing. Many people feel it is their "duty" to protect their very personal ideas and ideals. Many folks are insecure with their beliefs and become agressive when challenged.

If you look at human nature overall, this is a common response. Challenge anyone in specific catagories - religion, business, politics, ethics or morals - and the discussion will become heated. This is not a discussion on preference of hair color or power tools. You can have a choice there and that will prompt discussion, but you are not challenging their personal beliefs.

This also attracts trolls, who know how passionate some folks are when it comes to personal beliefs, and who live to piss someone off. It gives them a feeling of power over someone when they can challenge someone and cause them to become flustered and doubt their own beliefs. Trolls come in many shapes and sizes, from the obscene remarks, to the stupid comments to the spin doctors who take whatever you say and twist it till it comes out unrecognizable. Those are the most dangerous... they can leave you doubting you even exist. They are good at what they do, but if you follow their twisted logic, you will see they are mearly trying to upset you, as their logics do not start with a truth, but rather with your own words turned upside down.

Agressive? Most likely. But if you learn to ignore the trolls, and discuss with those who offer clear discussion and healthy opposing points of view, you will get along well on any discussion board.

This one seems to be filled with many ego seeking trolls and those who seek only attention, and not discussion. I am still sorting out the trolls from those who wish to discuss myself. Quite a job, but I'm taking my time.

Hope this helps.

Because this is one of only 2 topics that can end a friendship, breakup a marriage, separate families and start wars. The other is politics. Unfortunately we have become intolerant people if others don't agree with exactly what we believe.

God gave us the right to worship Him as we choose. Or not worship him if that is what we choose. I may not agree with others' beliefs, but that doesn't mean they are wrong. It also doesn't mean my beliefs are wrong. Tolerance is what we lack when it comes to this topic.
