Hi.... Please Read On..

*Im 12,I really want to feel active, look and feel good and be happy with myself.. I am quite lazy and i'm always tired, and obsessed with food.
I'm always thinking about losing weight because I want to be a professional singer,and I want to be slim.
But I ALWAYS fail, and go eat some crisps and say 'ah, I'll do the diet tomorrow' I can't handle it, I really need help to learn that I only eat when I'm hungry, and I also get help from others too but I just ignore that aswell.. this is getting a little too stressfull, i'm a little bit fat, not enormous or anything, just a little fat that needs to be gone.
And this is also quite upsetting because I really want to lose weight and fit into lovely clothes and be happy with myself, and have more energy.. Can you Please help me and give me any kind of good advice??

You're just a kid! Don't be so obsessed with being thin or looking like a model, just get regular exercise and eat a balanced diet. If you could get on this site you can obviously use the internet, do research on good diet and exercise programs. But don't forget to be young and enjoy your youth.

Try not to be so obsessed with food. What you need to do is address the lazy part. Check with your school and join clubs, leagues and anything else that may be available.
Even if you think that you don't like to do something, try anyways
for example:Bowling - by the time I was a teen i had never been bowling and at that point wouldn't (due to embarrassing myself ) and then in my 20's i went and had so much fun that i regretted not doing it .So what if u can't or don't know how to do something, everyone is a beginner at some point.
Please try, you may solve all your problems and have alot of fun

The best way to look happy is to be happy. But no one is happy all the time and I doubt that will help.Try relaxing ur face muscles and see if u are in the habbit of using the ones that allow u to frown.If u are naturally inclined still then see what a small smile to balance out the scowl will do

If you want to fo on a diet, enlist a friend/family memeber to do it with you for support.

I reccomend the South Beach diet, I went on it when I was 15 and lost 50 pounds.

Exercise also.

listen...if u r 12 dont u DARE think about dieting!!!! it is absolutely unhealthy at any age! to lose weight....do something u enjoy....dont join gyms if u find regular workout boring....i know i do so i do fun stuff like playing tennis or going for a walk with my friend...it makes things more interesting if u do it with someone…. when u r trying to lose weight, keep in mind that it takes time....get rid of the weighing machine and try to fit in ur favourite jeans instead! u r too young to be obsessing over pounds! start eating healthy foods...and keep one day in a week to gorge urself crazy over stuff u like. be it be crisps or chocolate or whatever but let it be one day! Make a list of things u want to do and swear that ull do it and every time u feel like shirking from ur oath…whip that list out and think that if u back out now u r gonna hv 2 start all over again nd imagine how hard dat will be!!! Oh yeah…drink loads of water…about 16 glasses…that will help u lose weight! Totally forget about sodas and fizzy drinks…they r deadly! And snack after every hour…don’t snack on candy…hv a slice of fruit or something non fattening…eat small portions every hour…get the picture? Eat whatever u r eating slowly and chew it well…most ppl tend to overeat cuz they r eating too fast. Keep a food journal and record wut u eat everyday….this way u’l know wut fattening thing u had and will serve as a reminder of wut not to hv during the control days.
Don’t b sad and gloomy all the time or others will think u r a real downer which will cause u to b more depressed….luk at things in a positive way…always c the good side of everything….i know it is hard but when u feel depressed do something dat will make u feel gud and happy…like helping some1 which is another way to lose those extra pounds! The same goes for eating….when u hv an urge to eat something and u r not hungry, distract urself with something like reading a buk or something. Energy builds gradually; in ur free time redecorate ur room rather than sitting in front of the tv. Eating healthy is the only way to get energy. Trust me, I used to be a slob and gorge myself crazy on junk food. Eating healthy really gives ur energy level a gr8 boost.
If u start agreeing to the way things are in life, half of the problems will solve by themselves. Just think how much more difficult ur life cud be and u will instantly start feeling better. Hope it is all helpful. Cheers!

hey u see that i am also just like you. i too want to be a singer. but dieting wont help u slim down. just exercise and take right food on right time and in right amount then u might reduce ur weight. see that if this wrks.

Yes! Get the book from the library or book store. "The Weigh Down Diet". It's great!!
