I tried this at a party where the hosts did not know who'd given it to them and I was too drunk to take down the name of the brand. I loved it and want some more but I don't know what it's called or where to get it. Anyone have any ideas? I think it's foreign if that helps...and it's not ouzo.

That name does not ring a bell although I will look it up...

It wasn't anything mixed. It was a bottle we opened from new and the only thing I mixed it with was I poured it over some ice cream (******* good, that was!)

I've looked now, at Goldshlager, and it's not the same one although it'd be an ineresting alternative if I can't find the one I was after.

Maybe, I'll Google it. The bottle was clear and I think squarish. I think the writing was like that old Medieval style.

Nope, it's not Jagermeister. It's clear and it has gold pieces in it.

I don't think it's Goldwasser although that could be a good alternative...

Actually, I said that last comment having only found Polish Goldwasser. I just found the German one and it IS the right one!!

It really does sound like Goldschlarger. Apparently very hard to get hold of but if the article below is still true then you need to start looking for Oddbins. Good luck!

I don't think it is goldschlagger because that is cinnamon flavored. but maybe it was sambuca(italian) mixed with goldschlagger
