I talk to the God and Goddess in my mind every night before I go to sleep and I thank them for ten good things that have happened to me that day. I also ask them to watch over me and my family and friends.

Really depends on when and why we are talking.

In repentance, I ask for forgiveness.

In prayer I ask for deliverance, for his continued grace and mercy on those saved by grace and those who are yet to be saved, For his wisdom and more power in the Holy Spirit. For me to be able to walk in his will, and the strength to carry on day to day. For discernment, the understanding of his word. And that I can be a living witness for Him and a willing vessel for His works. I pray for others as well.

Sometimes I just communicate in my mind with Him.

In the Spirit, I communicate by speaking in tongues, but I do not have the gift of interpreting tongues, so I do not know what my spirit is praying for on my behalf unless God reveals it to me, which on occasion he has. However, it is edifying for the spirit and body to pray in the spirit.

Always give thanks and praise to God. Worship him, Honor Him. Magnify Him. Exhalt Him in prayer.

I tell him thanks for all the blessings I have. Then I talk to him much like I would my best friend, although I confide more in God as he is my one true confidant. I sit on his lap when I am sad and cry on his shoulder. I beg him for mercy and help when my loved ones or myself are sick. I take all to him and ask him to guide me daily in doing his will, not mine.

PRAYER IS INDISPENSABLE

O thou spiritual friend! Thou hast asked the wisdom of prayer. Know thou that prayer is indispensable and obligatory, and man under no pretext whatsoever is excused from performing the prayer unless he be mentally unsound, or an insurmountable obstacle prevent him. The wisdom of prayer is this: That it causeth a connection between the servant and the True One, because in that state man with all heart and soul turneth his face towards His Highness the Almighty, seeking His association and desiring His love and compassion. The greatest happiness for a lover is to converse with his beloved, and the greatest gift for a seeker is to become familiar with the object of his longing; that is why with every soul who is attracted to the Kingdom of God, his greatest hope is to find an opportunity to entreat and supplicate before his Beloved, appeal for His mercy and grace and be immersed in the ocean of His utterance, goodness and generosity.

Besides all this, prayer and fasting is the cause of awakening and mindfulness and conducive to protection and preservation from tests....

to talk to God you need to be a good listener because if you cant listen how do you know his response? basically you need to take everything to hi.
he already knows EVERYTHING about you, but unless you take it to him he cant help!

always end your prayer with- in Jesus' name amen because you cant get to God unless you go through his son!

not sure if any of this makes sense but i hope so! good luck xx
