I have never eaten fruit and vegetables, they truly make sick, 'cept spuds, processed peas and tinned tomatoes, in my life ever! I even refused it as baby apparently. To this day it's meat, all kinds, including burgers, bacon, sausages. Chips, eggs, bread, cheese and fish. Lots of pastry dishes, including pies of all description. I love fried food. I can sit and eat a full pack of chocolate digestives in one sitting. A dozen bags of crisps too, not in the same night, that would be greedy! Chocolate of every description. I drink about 12 mugs of tea a day, i smoke, don't excercise,my job is a driver, not too strenuous. I don't drink alcohol.
I'm 41, look 35, really! My blood pressure is 109 over 57, cholesterol is ok, I'm 5foot 11inches and weigh 11.5 stone. And my doctor reckons i'm one of life's anomalies and i'll live to be about 90!(I thought he was gonna hit me when he said that!)
Why should I live a healthier lifestyle?

That is so unfair. I don't eat more than a bar of choc a MONTH, never buy biscuits or crisps, eat fried food in moderation and i am a waitress in a busy restaurant. I don't drink either but i am 2 stones overweight and struggling to shift it. There is no God after all!!!!!

I find it difficult to believe that youre even alive, let alone "healthy", if you've never eated fruits and vegetables. They contain vitamins and nutrients that you can't get from any other food group. Maybe someone is secretly feeding you in your sleep. I don't know.
To answer your question, you probably won't know why you should live healthier until you do. You feel great now, but if you eat healthier and exercise, you'll definately feel better, it is difficult to explain. Plus, you never know when a dormant disease of some sort will surface and kill you because of your lifestyle. Hey, it happens.
PS I can't believe you don't like fruit. Everybody likes fruit, its so good. Ever had really really fresh fruit? Give it a second chance.

You are a very lucky person! At the moment! Remember you do not have to be fat and puffy to have a real blaster of a heart attack! I really would start trying to change your regime and get off your chocolate, Cigs, crisps, chips etc - but don't try it one one go. Not possible for somone like you. Remember also - a LITTLE bit of WHAT YOU FANCY DOES YOU GOOD! Good luck!! You should try some fresh fruit and Veg. It does taste good in the right format.

me being a vegetarian (lacto) GROSS Ur body might be in good shape and health and the best to ya BUT think off all the animals, natural resources and water that's been lost too feed u and million other meat eaters . its a shame too see how living creatures r treated and killed so u can have a piece of flesh on Ur plate every night . while fruits and vegetables aren't only healthy full of nutrition and all vitamins and minerals its almost effortless to produce and distribute . so the next time u eat think of what Ur eating it was once alive running around and breathing the same air as u .

Meat and meat. When you reach that age you said the doctors beleive you will get to(90) please tell us.
Yes, you could be an anomoly, but the rest of us needs our greens and fruits.

With all that meat and fat that you consume, I know that if you reach 60 and dont have any heart problems, then good luck. But I kno that water, fruits, vegetables, a little LEAN meat and exercise, never did anyone wrong.

My grandmother lived untill 96 and she had a glass of red wine evry single day. So maybe YOU too MUST be drinking red wine?

because you are currently using the resouces and reserves of a relatively young body. Get a little gentle exercise..walk...and increase very gradually the amount of roughage you are eating or you will be guaranteed problems will develop that lower your quality of life. Keep up the positive attitude though....you are going to need it!

I'm a nurse and you should gradually start to eat fruits and vegetables. Your body don't have the vitamins and nutrients from the right foods.
