My little mutt really loved her tea! However, when I learned that it could lead to heart attack, I quit allowing her to have it...sigh..broke our hearts, as she did enjoy it so..It just wasn't worth risking her life..

Yes, an Old Man I know and his 15 year old dog have Tea and Toast for Breakfast together. They take afternoon Tea together and then he gives her a Chocolate Biscuit and a cup or Milky Horlics before bed! She refuses to go to bed without her Horlics.

My Jack Russel loves to drink the bottom of a cup of Tea or Coffee. He also loves Tuna Fish and also Cheese (he has got to have some cheese if you are cutting some.)
He also goes to bed with half of a Chocolate Digestive.

My family has had many dogs that have grown to the old age of 13 - 15 years and all of them have had Tea, Coffee and chocolate with no detriment what so ever.

Hi yes he can, dogs love tea, obviously not to hot. It is believed to give a dog coat a good shine. My girls love tea, especially with a biscuit or two.

I'm pretty sure that letting your dog have a sip of tea here and there isn't going to harm him. I have four dogs and they'll drink just about anything...tomato juice, cranberry juice, Snapple, green tea sodas...

Morning Keith...I would say that SHARING your cuppa with your furry friend wouldn't do any more harm than letting him/her drink rain water from a mucky puddle....

...and think of all those cuppas that have ended up wasted 'cos you were that preoccupied they had turned cold....

What do you do when you get up...? what do you do when you come in from the rain after taking the dog for a stroll..? What do you do when you're relaxin at the end of the day...?

Strengthen the bond with your buddy....tea for two?...

Our Jack Russell absolutely adored a bowl of tea. White with just a touch of sugar. No sugar, no drink. And he hated chocolate!

My 15yr old dog gets the hump if he does not have a share of my early morning tea.
Make sure its cool for him.
He thinks its great to get my daughters tea as she takes sugar.

Green tea, I would think so. Regular tea, no.... the tannins may lead to constipation in dogs, and the xanthines, similar to caffine, may overstimulate the heart and give you a temporarily hyper pooch.

There is an ingredient in tea that is toxic to dogs... same ingredient that is in chocolate and coffee. I would not recommend letting your dog drink much of it.

I guess all these people have had no harm come of it-but I wanted to mention that the same sort of chemical that makes chocolate dangerous to pets is also found in tea-I don't think I'd risk it.
