There is definetly a difference. Over the years we have associated the words "so-called" to mean that the person is really not what he says he is.
God has a people that He will choose. Be not deceived everyone is not going to Heaven. In John 3:3 "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." What does Jesus mean when He says born again. Being born again you sin no more you seek depart from sin. If we are sons of God as John had said in 1 John 3:11"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not
Ahh! Amazing piece of scripture! therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not. The world knew not God. To know God is to have a personal relationship with Him and to love him. So there is a God's elect, his chosen people, His peculiar people. We are not to love the things of this world, nor of the things in the world. John 2:15 says" Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him."
John 15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
We are to come to standard of perfection that Christ wants us to be. In Mark 4:26-29 he likens the Kingdom of God unto the wheat grain.
26And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
27And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
29But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
Now this is the harvest principle applied to the people that make up the Kingdom of God. So there are three stages , first the blade, then the ear then the full corn in the ear. These are all the stages the true believer has to go through to go unto that standard of perfection Christ has exhalted for us to go unto. So then as in verse 29 He can thrust the sickle in because the harvest ripe and he has come to get his children. So there is a difference between " so-called believer" anf God's elect.
You cannot be a so called believer because in Hebrews 11:6 it says " But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." So we must believe that he is when we come to him. We are true believers.

Nope! They are one and the same.
The term "elect" used to refer to the nation of Israel only, but Christ brought a great mystery to light in the times of the apostles where the gentiles were made co-partakers of God's grace through the sacrifice of Jesus.
Read the book of Acts, the book of Ephesians, and the book of Romans for more insight on this topic.

Yes there is. The elect were chosen from the foundation of creation by God. And they can not be fooled by Lucifer as a believer can be. They have the eyes to see and the ears to hear. We have the eyes to read your countenance and the ears to hear past your words.

Yes I am one of the elect.

I personally don't believe in "God's elects." But there are certainly believers.
Enough of a difference?
